Ryan's 2nd Birthday

Hard to believe our sweet little boy is already two! He got to celebrate on his actual Birthday with his friends at daycare. He brought some ice cream cups to share with everyone, which we hear were a huge hit.

Saturday brought family and friends together at our house to celebrate with a dinosaur themed party. We were so lucky to have every single family member here! That's tough to do!!

Monday was the 2 year check up at the doc's office. Ry was such a good sport! He's 36 inches tall, 29.5 lbs, and still has a giant head (71%ile). He also needed 1 shot and aside from not really wanting to lay down for us, he did great. No tears, no crying at all! What a tough little boy!

Found his baby dino in the dino egg! This was such a huge hit among all the kids!!

Giggling with Uncle John John

By far one of his favorite gifts! Still wacking it away today!

Clearly cousin Jackson loved it too!

Nana's handy work! Such a cute dino cake! (and tasty too)

Cousins pic - this is the best when you get 5 of them together!

Hugs with Carter!

Can you tell these two are cousins and only months apart?

A family trip and a bit of that summer feeling...

February brings those winter blues, but heading to a place where it brings you closer to the summer months helps, especially when that place is only about an hour from home. We headed out to Silver Mountain to spend a little time in the water park - heated to a nice 75 degrees or so. We also got out to the top of the mountain to do a little tubing!

Ellie was on the mend from an ear infection and while we were there Ry's cold got worse. Unfortunately his breathing had me a bit worried, so bright and early Sunday morning Jared made the 40 min drive back to Coeur d' Alene to take him to Urgent Care. Fortunately nothing too bad, but because of the RSV he had as an infant, he occasionally has a tough time when it impacts his lungs. They put him on an albuterol treatment and some steroids for a few days and that did the trick.

Such a beautiful day!

Our brave little man who not only did this slide by himself, but wanted to go down the big kid slide with mama over and over!

Ellie and her best friend Jillian - so glad they got to come with us!

Up the gondola - not so much a fan of the clank as we went over the support poles.

All smiles up the hill for this girl.

I took Ry on his first trip down the tubing hill and Pop Pop took him many times over there after. Ry was not too thrilled his first go, but loved it more and more as he kept at it!

Before our race down the hill. Jared kicked my butt!

Big Family pic!

Going down the mountain and still not so excited about it. But Nana's snuggles made it better.

Superbowl Champions

And there was the next day following my Birthday celebration....why would that be important. Oh ya, that's because we won the SUPERBOWL! Such an exciting year four our Seahawks, let alone the blowout that was the actual Superbowl.

Family Cheering Section!

Showing off her Seahawk nails that Nana did for her! Green and Blue with Seahawk stickers!

Sporting Daddy's hat!

The breakfast of Superbowl Champions!

Superbowl celebration at Spokane's downtown mall - River Park Square!

And free mini cupcakes there too!

Happy 30th Birthday to me!

I hit another milestone birthday! 30 is a lot different than 21, especially when you have two kids!

As I led into in my last post, I was in Seattle the weekend before my Birthday. This was a treat since I never feel I get to see my friends over there often enough. It was also so very special to be there to celebrate Caden's 1st Birthday.

Monday, my actual Birthday, I was in Seattle all day for a work meeting. I was actually really nice considering I think of so many of my co-workers as friends. They all spoiled me rotten too! I received a ton of Starbucks gift cards!!

The next Saturday, we were able to celebrate with friends and family at a new restaurant near our house - Waddell's Brewpub. We were home by 10 pm, but I won't complain! It was really nice to have gotten a full nights sleep. Again a big difference from 21 to 30!

Its been awhile...

Whoops! Its been awhile since I've posted any updates for all of you!

It's winter (finally) after waiting and waiting for snow, its all hit in late February and now March. Its unfortunate because at this point I think we were all ready for Spring. We've made the best of it though and hopeful that this last storm was the last of it.

I have a couple posts to get up, but this one will be all the random photos!

Wearing Daddy's shoes - wanting to play with Maggie!

New Years Eve - he (and Ellie too) made it all the way to midnight!

Cougar Basketball game in Spokane - he saw Butch T. Cougar and was pretty excited. Until later in the game Butch made his way over to us and both he and Ellie were crying and shaking holding onto us.

Jared finally ordered his PE stamp. He's been official for awhile now, but this makes it even more so!

Addicted to technology much? iPhone, iPad, Kindle and TV!

I had to make another trip to the Greater Bay area (Santa Rosa and Silicon Valley specifically) again. 4 day trip was a bit long for me. But this was the view of Mt. St. Helens on the way down. Beautiful!

Because I had to commute from Santa Rosa to Silicon Valley I had the opportunity to travel over the Golden Gate bridge. Don't worry, I wasn't driving.

We're starting the potty training process! This was about a month ago and he insisted that he had to go. We sat there for 30 min past his bed time trying to go.

Following my trip to California, I made another trip. This time to Seattle. I was lucky enough to spend the weekend prior celebrating my best friend's son's 1st Birthday and hanging out with Jared's cousin Whitney (another one of my best friends) almost a pre celebration to my birthday. On Monday, Jared had to be to work at 8am for a meeting. He got in a hurry leaving and failed to remember that he had thrown his jacket on over his undershirt to let out the dog. He left the house, remembered this half way to work and then worked the rest of the day in the office dressed like this. :)
