Fall = New Clothes

Ellie gets to tap into a new box of clothes given the cooler weather and the fact that she is in her 9 month size these days. This outfit was just too cute not to share.

Oh and don't let the picture fool you. She isn't standing on her own, just leaning back against the table. Although I will admit that she was able to stand there for quite a long time.

Playtime with DaDa

Roseola

The other weekend, I posted that Ellie had a fever, and we assumed it was from teething. Her fever hit 102.5 - prompting a trip to the doc. Of course nothing else was wrong so we continued to ride it out. Finally on day three, the fever disappeared. But the next day we got a nice suprise....a rash! All over her face, neck, and torso (front and back). I was afraid it was from the ice cream she had that day, but one call to the doc and we determined it was a virus. After a bit of research I think it was roseola. After three days of the rash, it finally cleared up. Thankfully, she didn't seem too bothered by it. She was a little more clingy than normal and had to have her blanket at all times, but we made it through.

Ice Cream

I forgot to post these from the other weekend. Ellie had her first real taste of ice cream, accompanied by some french fries (the way I love my soft serve). She totally loved it!

McKinstry Picnic

Today was the McKinstry picnic for the inland NorthWest. We had a quick lunch and then checked out all the inflatable toys! They had an obstacle course, bouncy house, giant slide, and a mechanical bull! Ellie and I took a trip down the slide. It was pretty fast!

Here's Ellie and I waiting in line...

Excited and ready to head down!

Uh - not sure I like this!

Teething again...

This past week has been interesting for Ellie. We are pretty sure she is working on getting those two top teeth. As a result, she has had a fever the better part of the week - not just a little fever either. We hit 102.5 on Friday afternoon, and that was 1 hour after she got the infant's motrin. So that warranted a trip to the doc. Which of course, nothing was wrong. Her gums are definately swollen...poor baby. One night she got a cool bath to help with her temperature.....

Grant County Fair

Last weekend we made the annual trip to the Grant County Fair, but it was Ellie's first trip! I made sure to have a spaceburger, but didn't think to get a picture of all of its yummyness!

Ellie went to look at all the farm animals. Having had a bit of experience at Auntie Sherry's, we thought we would go look at the chickens (which she hated at Sherry's). She did much better, but still a bit apprehensive about them. Then we checked out the turkeys. That was not such a good experience. She cried and cried, as you can see in the picture. The pigs got the same reaction, and the cows she was nervous about (similar to the chickens). But we had a great time!
