Silly Ellie

This weekend we had lots of mommy-Ellie time since Jared is still studing for his PE. We went all over town Saturday and on Sunday since Jared went into the office we hung out at home. Ellie decided she's a big girl and can hold my Starbucks cup and drink out of the straw (really well).

She also decided to make good use of her cup holders in the Cozy Coupe.

And while mindlessly meandering throughout the house, she determined it was time to go somewhere, put on her jacket and attempted to put on her shoes. What a big girl.

Kirk's 30th Birthday and Ellie's Weekend in ML

I know - I've been a bad blogger. Here I thought I was off to a great start for March and then FAIL! It was a busy month though!

The last weekend in March marked our friend, Kirk's 30th Birthday! His wife, Jennifer planned this big trip to Woodinville for a wine/beer/distillery tasting! Unfortunately, Jared couldn't/didn't want to go - beings that he's in prime study time for his PE exam (this Friday is the test). So, I headed over to the Westside with girlfriends and Ellie got to stay in ML with Nana and Grandpa. It was a long weekend for all of us, since this was the first entire weekend Ellie had been away from us (or the reverse). I had a rough go without her and she had a rough weekend too (not sure if it was just the teething - 4 k9's coming in all at once, or that she missed us). Either way, we all had fun.

These are some of the pictures that everyone in ML was nice enough to send while I was in Seattle.

Here are some pictures of the birthday boy, some yummy coffee that I had, and the Freemont Troll. Oddly enough, I never saw the troll while living in Seattle - fun to be a tourist.

Ellie's Peanut Butter Friend

At breakfast the other morning, Ellie decided that she really loved her peanut butter. So much that she was giving it hugs.....

Another Batch of Cupcakes

I made another batch of cupcakes Sunday night to take to work. We were so thankful because as a benefit, our office will do our taxes for free!! It was sooo nice this year given that we had the house and we had all sorts of extra stuff to file as a result. So our tax department received some chocolate cupcakes with Oreo frosting. I hear they were pretty good - somehow I managed not to eat one!

A Birthday Party Adventure

Saturday was Brayden's (Jared's cousin's son) 4th Birthday. They held it at the gymnastics center in Moses Lake which I think all the kids LOVED! Even though Ellie was too little for a lot of stuff, she found one thing she absolutely loved...the slide. She must have gone down it 30 times or more! Guess we know we will be making lots of trips to the park this summer!

Little Helper

Tonight Jared was folding laundry, and Ellie decided to help as she usually does. This generally entails pulling all the laundry out of the basket and then unfolding anything you have folded so far.

However, tonight was a different story....

Ellie decided to play dress up.....with my underwear. She managed to get 7 pair over her head.

The Cracker Incident

Ellie and Jared were sharing a box of Better Cheddars (Jared's favorite). Ellie decided to help the process along a bit and well....see for yourself.

Unfortunately, for Ellie, we both thought it was hilarious, but she was completely freaked out at the sight of Jared covered in orange crackers. She proceeded to have a complete melt-down, including a red face and tears streaming down her face. Traumatic.
